The story begins with Francisco “Paco” Bulnes, who carried forward a family tradition of leadership and innovation in Los Cabos. Following in the footsteps of his father, Don Luis Bulnes Molleda, Paco helped grow a hospitality company that came to include seven renowned resorts. Yet, his impact went far beyond business achievements.
Paco was known as a kind and generous leader who cared deeply for his team and his community. His contributions included philanthropic work through the Fundación, a nonprofit supporting vulnerable members of society, and initiatives like “Churea,” the first community radio station in the area, which gave locals a voice and helped strengthen the region’s identity.
From an early age, Paco had been immersed in projects that celebrated Baja’s natural beauty and culture—working alongside his father to promote sportfishing through the famous Flota—and he carried that spirit into the vision for Rancho San Lucas.
The Vision: From Desert Hills to Pristine Coastline
For decades, the Bulnes family had dreamed of developing a spectacular 834-acre parcel of land that gently slopes from desert hills, through natural arroyos, to 1.2 miles of untouched Pacific coastline. Part of a much larger 1,800-hectare property, the site was destined to become a community unlike any other.
Inspired by the success of his previous developments, Paco invited his longtime friend and fellow fishing and boating enthusiast, legendary golfer Greg Norman, to design a golf course for the property. This collaboration became the centerpiece of a legacy project: a community that blends luxury living, nature, and recreation, all framed by a signature golf course.
In 2019, construction began under the guidance of Paco and his wife Holly Regan, who meticulously envisioned every detail of the homes, amenities, and infrastructure.
